Weekly Photography Assignment: A New Perspective
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 179: A New Perspective
Our theme this week is A New Perspective, and we’d love to see what creative nature photographs you can create using a different point of view! Perspective is a vital ingredient in all forms of photography, and nature photography is no exception. This week we’d like to encourage you to break out of your usual habits, and even to break the rules of classic nature photography. Look at your subjects from a new direction; get above wildlife, below insects, or at ground level for your landscape photographs! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or a total newbie, the options are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring nature photos you can create using a new perspective.

Last week’s winner
Last week’s theme was The Colour Green – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is this image, captured by Noah Valvo: ‘A nice view of some farming fields close to my home. I decided on using the nearby brush as a frame to try to convey how the fields are surrounded by forest with the wheat fields representing how agriculture is the main industry for my hometown.‘ We love the creative composition of the image, and the thought that has gone into the framing of the shot. This framing effect creates a pleasing and immersive image, that compliments the contrast between forest and farmland, and of course, highlights the colour green. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
