Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 143: Sunrise and Sunset

Our theme this week is Sunrise and Sunset, and we’d love to see what photos you can create with the sky at the most beautiful time of the day. Sunrises and sunsets are famous photography subjects, but they can be difficult to master! Will you photograph the reflection of a dramatic sky in a lake? Or wake up early to capture the mist and colours created by the sun as it rises over a hill or mountain? Perhaps you’ll photograph the silhouette of an animal or an insect against the last light of day?

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

Please enter no more than 3 photos per week
Please only enter photos taken within the week of the assignment
Include a description with your photo and tell us a bit about it!

Last week’s theme was Black and White – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is by Parham Pourahmad with this photo titled ‘Anna’s Hummingbird at Play,’ taken at a local water fountain. We love how sharp this image is, and the way the black and white edit makes us focus on the action taking place, rather than the colours. We can’t imagine how fast this hummingbird must have been moving – well done!
