Weekly Photography Assignment: Insects
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 188: Insects
Our theme this week is Insects, and we’d love to see what creative images of insects out in nature you can create! This week we’d like to encourage you to look for insects in their natural habitats. They can be found everywhere in nature, and you don’t necessarily need a macro lens to get great shots of them! Perhaps you will capture a butterfly in flight, or a bee resting on a flower, or a spider on her web! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or a total newbie, the options for awesome insect images are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring photos you can create.
Here are some tutorials to help you:

Last week’s winner
Last week’s theme was The Colour Blue – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is this image, captured by Eldrik Ajiyi, who snapped a photo of the hydrangeas around their house. We love the use of close-up photography for this shot, lending a different perspective to how we usually view garden flowers. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
