Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

From these weekly favourites, each month we will select one exceptional image, crowning the photographer as the Monthly Assignment Winner. This talented photographer’s captivating image will be shared on our Instagram story and in our newsletter.

Week 269: Creative Landscapes

Our theme this week is Creative Landscapes, and we’d love to see how you can photograph incredible landscape scenes in new and interesting ways. Perhaps you will try a photography technique, such as intentional camera movement, or long expososure to capture movement. Maybe you will look for a new or unusal perspective on a familiar subject, from high above or down below. You may even want to try photographing a landscape at an unusal time of day – even at night, if you’re feeling up to it! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for capturing new and interesting landscape photos are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring shots you can create.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

Last week’s winner

Last week’s theme was Colour – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Ganapathi Ram.

This photo showcases a wonderful display of colour, and how it can be used effectively as part of composition in a nature image. The contrast of the pink and green form a dynamically webbed frame around our subeject – positioned against a small gap of negative space. The dominance of the pink draws our eye across the scene and keeps us enganged and intrested in the fame long after first look. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
