Week 302: Patterns and Textures
Our theme this week is Patterns and Textures, and we’d love to see what fantastic photos you can create using patterns and textures found in nature. Close up photography is a great way to get your eye in to new compositions. Textures and patterns in nature can make for intriguing photos. You may decide to use leaves or plants, or close in on the heart of a flower. Perhaps you will photograph ripples in the water, or the bark of a tree. You might even focus on the pattern of an animal’s fur, or a bird’s feathers! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for awesome images of patterns and textures are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Mark Guilfoyle: ‘Moisture in the atmosphere created a subtle haziness and yellowish-orange glow about the moon.’
