Weekly Photography Assignment: Panoramics
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our two favourites to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 22: Panoramics
Our theme this week is Panoramics. Panoramic images are typically a number of photos stitched together to create one large, long photo of a landscape of natural scene. These can be used in wildlife or landscape – just be creative! We’re excited to see what you can come up with this week. Head outside and try creating a panoramic of something nearby – perhaps a woodland, field, or view from a hilltop!

To enter your photo to this assignment, add it in the comments below this post. By submitting your photo, you are giving us permission to feature your photo the following week if it is chosen as one of our favourites.
Here are some guidelines to keep things running smoothly:
- Photos must be your own work
- Please enter no more than 3 photos per week
- Please only enter photos taken within the week of the assignment
- Include a description with your photo and tell us a bit about it!

Last Week’s Favourites
Here are our favourites from last week’s theme: Minimalist. You can view the rest of the submissions here.
It was a really tough week to select a favourite this time, but this shot from Giuseppe really stood out. The mist works to eliminate all of those distracting details that we’d expect in the background, and the low contrast of the almost mirrored image in the background eerily emerging from the mist is fantastic. We’re assured that no post production occurred in this shot – so it really shows evidence of a great photographic eye to spot the potential for this shot.
Will seems to be becoming a regular in our weekly assignment favourites, but his ability to really adhere to the thinking behind each theme is great. Can you really get more minimalist than this? Sharp, properly exposed, and has a lovely added detail of the reflection in the bit of water we can see. Brilliant work.
