Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favouritebe featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 255: Birds

Our theme this week is Birds, and we’d love to see what fantastic nature photos you can take of these exciting nature photography subjects. Birds are a great subject for our weekly challenge, as they can be found pretty much everywhere you look! Perhaps you will look for urban birds in your local city, or sit and wait in your garden to capture birds in flight around your feeder. Maybe you will focus on capturing close up bird portraits, or perhaps you will try to create some wider shots of birds in their environment. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for capturing new and interesting photos of birds are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring shots you can create.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

Last week’s theme was Golden Hour – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Zoltan Dobany. This is a lovely image, beautifully composed with magnificent and masterful manipulation of light and dark. It encapsulates the beauty of golden hour very well, and the framing is elegant and well suited to the horizontal leading lines that stretch across the scene.
