Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 273: Flowers

Our theme this week is Flowers, and we’d love to see how you can capture beautiful flower images on camera. Perhaps you will photograph flowers in your garden, or venture out to see wildflowers in your local woodland. Maybe you will try to incorperate flowers into your landscape photography, or instead get out your macro lens and fill the frame with petals. You may even decide to use specific techniques such as photo stacking or bokeh to enhance your flower images. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for capturing new and interesting flower photos are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring shots you can create.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

Last week’s winner

Last week’s theme was Signs of Spring – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by B B: ‘Birds are not the only critters that come to the feeder.’

A lovely showcase of ‘garden wildlife,’ this image draws our eye into the frame with intrigue and curiosity to match it’s charismatic subject. The decision to place the main subject off centre is well-informed and adds to the nature of the scene, as does the use of framing foilage in the foreground. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
