Week 272: Garden Wildlife
Our theme this week is Garden Wildlife, and we’d love to see how you can capture the examples of nature in your garden on camera. Perhaps you will photograph songbirds in the morning on your birdfeeder, or on a fence. Maybe you have regular mammal visitors to your garden, such as squirrels or foxes. Perhaps you will look for macro life in the flowers of your plant bed. And if you don’t have a garden of your own, head out to your local green space and look for the local wildlife there. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for capturing new and interesting garden wildlife photos are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring shots you can create.

Last week’s winner
Last week’s theme was Signs of Spring – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is this image, captured by Flynn Thaitanunde-Lobb of ‘blooming daffodils in the morning light.’
This a beautiful springtime capure that truly speaks to the emergence of the season. The tonal qualities here compliment eachother very well, and the use of bokeh futher highlights the flower in question. The additional creative choices of water droplets and soft focus on our main subject further emphasise its delicate nature, and allow for a delightful image of well-loved subject. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
