Week 309: Garden Wildlife
Our theme this week is Garden Wildlife, and we’d love to see how you can photograph wildlife found in your own back garden! There are so many exciting ways to create new and engaging images of local wildlife. Perhaps you will look to freeze a high-action moment, such as a bird feeding at your feeder. Maybe you will look for squirrels hiding in your trees, or insects hidden in your plant bed. If you don’t have a garden, why not head out to your local wildlife park? Think about how to form interesting and engaging compositions of common species. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for great garden wildlife photos are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

Last week’s winner
Last week’s theme was Signs of Winter – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is this image, captured by Zoltan Dobany: ‘The photo was taken 800 metres up in the Mátra Mountains, in a crushing fog.’
This fantastic scene captures the magic of the arrival of winter. The use of leading lines and depth of field draws our eye into the scene and creates an immersive and engaging composition. The entries this week were particularly strong, so well done, and thank you to all who entered!
