Weekly Photography Assignment: Golden Hour
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 98: Golden Hour
Our theme this week is Golden Hour. Autumn is a great time to get out in the ‘Golden Hour’ as the days are getting shorter. Golden hour is the hour just after sunrise and before sunset, the sun lights everything in warm golden tones – a photographers dream. Landscapes, macro, and birds, it all looks amazing at this time of day, get out and show us what you can find!

Last Week’s Favourite
Here is our favourite submission from last week’s theme, Eyes. You can view all of the entries here.
This image byJola is exactly what we were looking for! The close up of a Roe Deer’s eye makes for an attention-grabbing image, the soft tones and central composition holds the viewer’s attention whilst the details slowly reveal themselves. Great work Jola!
