Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 197: Macro

Our theme this week is Macro, and we’d love to see what seasonal macro images you can take to showcase the smaller aspects of the natural world! Macro photography can be defined as close-up images of small objects. Perhaps you will look for insects, or photograph the details of leaves, or find some fungi growing in the forest! You may choose to use a macro lens, or have a go at photographing with your smartphone. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or a total newbie, the options for macro photos in nature are infinite, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

Last week’s theme was Trees– and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Jonesy : ‘I’m extremely happy this week, because I absolutely love trees…Today was absolutely gorgeous, and I got some good pics!’ We love the autumnal colours captured in this image, and the unusual and effective use of creative composition. It’s a great reminder to stop and look up in nature from time to time! Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
