Last week’s winner
Last week’s theme was Birds – and our favourite image this week is:
This week’s winner is this image, captured by Sami DeMarco : ‘A portrait of a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird, who I named Jade. She visits my window feeder daily. This image was taken looking out the window with my camera set up on my tripod in the living room and my telephoto lens attached.’
This is a beautiful bird portrait. The framing is engaging and characterful, and the decision to present it in black and white simplifies the scene, allowing our eye to focus on the intricate details and uniqueness of the subject. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
