Week 304: Movement

Our theme this week is Movement, and we’d love to see what fantastic photos you can create using movement found in nature. This week we’d like you to look for movement in the natural world, and how you can capture it on camera. You may hope to ‘freeze’ movement with fast shutter speeds, showing a crisp image of a bird in flight, or an animal on the move. Perhaps you will choose instead to try to show movement through slow shutter speeds of moving water, or even intentional camera movement. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for awesome images featuring movement in nature are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

Last week’s winner

Last week’s theme was The Colour Yellow – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Mark Guilfoyle: ‘American Sycamore leaves in vibrant yellow.’

This lovely scene showcases a beautiful, rich colour found in nature, and highlights the unique beauty of the fruits of this season. The dark background allows the subject to stand out well, and the strong light highlights the leaves in great detail. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
