Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 252: Perspective

Our theme this week is Perspective, and we’d love to see what fantastic nature photos you can take featuring new and interesting perspectives! We encourage you to look at the nature around you in new ways this week. Perhaps you will turn your camera upwards to photograph trees from beneath, or the underbellies of birds. Maybe you will use foreground to show the scale of a landscape, or of a macro subject. Try to compose your images to highlight the perspective in your composition, and think of innovative ways you might photograph a common scene or subject. Try a ‘bird’s eye view,’ or an ‘ant’s eye view’ of the world! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for capturing new perspectives in nature photography are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring shots you can create.

Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.

Last week’s winner

Last week’s theme was The Colour Brown – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by B B. We love the way this image has found many different brown tones to incorporate into their image, and has used a subject that would be easy to walk past! It is composed beautifully, with a lovely central focus, blurred background, and highly effective use of glowing, hazy effects. The light colours in the subject contrast well with the foreground and background too. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
