Week 290: Perspective
Our theme this week is Perspective, and we’d love to see what amazing nature photos you can take that use new and interesting perspectives! There are so many opportunities for using perspective to create engaging compositions in wildlife photography. This week, practice looking for unusual ways to frame your favourite subjects. If you get down low to the ground when photographing an animal or plant, how does it impact the scene? What about if you photograph it from above? Changing perspective can help bring new life to your images, even if they are of a popular or well known-subject! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for interesting perspectives in nature photography are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Flynn Thaitanunde-Lobb. It is a frame-filling close-up of a red rose.
This image won our assignment due to its striking and intimate composition. The photographer has expertly filled the frame to draw the viewer’s eye into the centre of the flower, highlighting its intricate layers and rich red tones. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
