Weekly Photography Assignment: Romance
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to force yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.
Week 113: Romance
Our theme this week is Romance. With Valentine’s day just around the corner, we’d like you to show us nature images with a romantic feel. Think warm hues, soft backgrounds and maybe even some affectionate animal behaviour! We can’t wait to see your photos.

Last Week’s Favourite
Here is our favourite submission from last week’s theme, Garden Wildlife. You can view all of the entries here.
This week’s winner is Rod Lowe with this macro image of a butterfly. Rod’s use of the rule of thirds, as well as diagonals, shows off the colourful wings as well as the head area as the butterfly feeds. In addition to this strong composition, the blurred background prevents any distractions and gives the subject a vivid presence. The flowers also add a nice balance to the image. Brilliant work Rod!
