Weekly Photography Assignment: Water

Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 209: Water

Our theme this week is Water, and we’d love to see what creative images you can take of water found in nature. Of course, water can be seen in many forms, and it’s up to you how you’d like to photograph it! Perhaps you will find ‘frozen water,’ and capture the patterns or textures in ice. Maybe you live near a river or stream, and will have a go at long exposure photography. You might even visit and photograph the ocean – or even be able to try your hand at underwater photography. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or a total newbie, the options for creative nature photos incoperating the element of water are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

Last week’s winner

Last week’s theme was Animal Portraits – and our favourite image this week is:

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Pam Mullins: A fantastic, immersive portrait of a zebra. Taken from such a low angle, you’re immediately captivated by the eyes of the animal. Those catchlights in the eyes are the icing on the cake!
