Weekly Photography Assignment: Water
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website.

Week 297: Water
Our theme this week is Water, and we’d love to see what fantastic images of water found in nature that you can take! Water can be a wonderful element to utilise in your nature images. From bodies of water in landscape images, to rain streaks in a wildlife scene, to frost in a macro moment, there is no shortage of ways to incorperate water in all its forms. Look for unqiue ways to capture water. Perhaps you will use reflections to your advantage, or long exposure techniques to shocase the movement of water. Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for awesome water images are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create.

To enter your photo to this assignment, add it in the comments below this post. By submitting your photo, you are giving us permission to feature your photo the following week if it is chosen as one of our favourites. Please keep images under 2MB in size otherwise you may have difficulty uploading them.
Here are some guidelines to keep things running smoothly:
- Photos must be your own work
- Please enter no more than 3 photos per week
- Please only enter photos taken within the LAST WEEK
- Include a description with your photo and tell us a bit about it!

This week’s winner is this image, captured by Mark Thornton: ‘A young robin watching me in the garden.’
This charming portrait is a wonderful testament to its subject. The composition frames the robin beautifully with pin-sharp detail that allows us to appreciate every feather of this fascinating ‘animal face.’ Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
